A Little Bit About CC

My name is Cintia and I’m affectionately known as “CC” by the little ones.

I have a Certificate III qualification in Childcare, First AID + CPR certification. I also have a Bachelor in Science with Major in Biochemistry and an Advanced Diploma in Education, alongside with a combined experience of 14 years teaching in preschool and high school in Brazil, as well as over 5 years’ experience in Australia working in childcare centres and as a full time nanny.

I’m proud to say that I have become a permanent resident in Australia in 2019, where I have been living in since 2015. In virtue of my genuine love for children and innate aptitude to care for them, starting the CC’s ECO FDC has always been a dream of mine, which came true registered alongside with the Waverley Council Family Day Care scheme.

I am a very compassionate, patient and proactive person, also a fun loving professional with a deep passion for early childhood education. I love children’s positive energy and being around them makes my day.

I believe that to teach children effectively you must touch their hearts long before you begin to teach their minds. I also trust that children learn most productively through playing in a nurturing, fun, calm and natural environment, with dedicated and qualified educators helping them to shape up their futures by facilitating opportunities for discovery, growth and development.

Our Approach

As an educator my focus is to provide high quality early learning, by actively participating in each child’s development, assisting them to build success for life as intelligent, creative and unique individuals part of the environment they are in. My methodology is inspired by the Montessori method, founded on the principle that children determine their own rhythm of learning, which helps them grow in independence, creativity, confidence while developing a strong sense of identity.

As a Biologist, I offer early guidance on environmental education by guiding children to become agents in the conservation of the environment teaching them ways of contributing for a conscious and healthy world, building respectful relationships of care for others, for nature and animals.

As a nature and spirituality lover I believe that education must be based on kindness, eco friendly practices and spiritual values, which do not relate to any religion but to the awareness of ourselves as individuals who are part of the same world. At CC’s Eco Family Day Care, our religion is love and acceptance of all. And through the practice of daily meditation, yoga, educational mantras, diffuser with essential oils, and lots of love and respect, I expect to bring emotional balance and calm for children. By teaching them to recycle and to re-use organic and non-organic materials I expect to expand children’s creativity and to engage them on early years environmental awareness, which will make the world a better place to live.

In order to complement the wonderful care given to your child at CC’s Eco FDC, I offer nutritious varied fresh meals throughout the day to support their body nourishment, so they have more energy to play and learn. Our options include summer and winter partially organic delicious meals, establishing healthy eating habits from a young age.

I believe that to teach children effectively you must touch their hearts long before you begin to teach their minds. Therefore, by coupling the Montessori method with spiritual and ecological values, at CC´s ECO Family Day Care children will be supported in a safe, happy and loving home like environment, building upon their own strengths, spontaneity, care for others, respect for nature and joy of living, within a home like environment.
